The Multicultural Greek Council (MGC)

The Multicultural Greek Council is the governing body that consists of representatives from the culturally-based fraternities and sororities. The Multicultural Greek Council encourages all students who are interested in a culturally-based fraternity and sorority experience to attend MGC events or the events sponsored by the MGC member organizations.

*Active MGC Chapters at VCU :

alpha Kappa Delta Phi Sorority, Inc.
Kappa Phi Gamma Sorority, Inc.

*Note: all chapters recognized as student organizations at VCU are active chapters; for a list of active chapters that are currently suspended, see the Student Organization Conduct Report.

MGC Intake:

Once a student identifies the group they would like to belong to, they should attend programs hosted by the organization and informational or interest meetings sponsored by the organization. Some chapters have more formal recruitment, and others follow a program closely related to the intake process. Some organizations will continue to recruit new members throughout the semester.   Note all MGC organizations require a VCU GPA and some require 2nd year status to apply for the intake process.
